This Privacy Policy describes how Lumaqi PowerSync ("we", "our", or "the Application") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

What Information Does the Application Obtain and How Is It Used?

User Provided Information

The Application obtains the information you provide when you download and use the Application. This may include:

  • Google account credentials for authentication and Google Drive access
  • File and folder selections for synchronization
  • Application settings and preferences

Personal and Sensitive User Data

When you use the Application, you provide login credentials to access Google Drive. This information is stored in encrypted form locally on your device and is never transmitted to Lumaqi servers.

When you use the Application to sync or backup files to Google Drive, the Application transfers files directly between your device and Google's servers. File transfers are encrypted using modern cryptography as supported by Google Drive.

Lumaqi does not collect and does not have access to your files or your login credentials. All data synchronization occurs directly between your device and Google Drive.

Automatically Collected Information

The Application may collect certain information automatically, such as:

  • Device model and operating system version
  • Application version and usage statistics
  • Error logs and crash reports (anonymized)

If errors occur while using the Application, an error log may be sent to us. This error log contains non-personal data such as device model, operating system version, and where in the Application the error occurred. This information is used solely to improve the Application.

The Application uses third-party services that may collect information about you:

Google Drive API Usage

Lumaqi PowerSync uses the Google Drive API to enable file synchronization. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, Lumaqi PowerSync:

  • Only requests access to files and folders you explicitly select for synchronization
  • Does not transfer your Google Drive data to third parties
  • Does not use your Google Drive data for advertising purposes
  • Does not allow humans to read your data unless necessary for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or with your explicit consent

Do Third Parties See and/or Have Access to Information?

We will share your information with third parties only in the ways described in this privacy policy. We may disclose automatically collected information:

  • As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process
  • When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request
  • With trusted service providers who work on our behalf and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy policy

Data Retention Policy

We retain user-provided data for as long as you use the Application. If the Application is uninstalled, locally stored data will be automatically deleted. If you would like us to delete any error report data that you have provided, please contact us at privacy@lumaqi.com and we will respond in a reasonable time.

Children

We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with information without their consent, please contact us at privacy@lumaqi.com. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.

Security

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
